Rescuing Israel's relationship with world Jewry

In light of the Prime Minister's Office's announcement of a $300 million plan to engage Diaspora youth, Rabbi Uri Regev points to the crucial factor missing out in this relationship: freedom of religion and equality.

While efforts to reach out to Jewish youth living in North America and around the world are important and praiseworthy, if the Prime Minister's Office and the Jewish Agency refuse to recognize that more than half of the next generation of non-Orthodox American youth are not considered Jewish by the State of Israel, all of these efforts will be for naught.
